Global Care Group (GCG) Inc formally known as the City of Swan Aged Persons Homes Trust Inc was established in 1991 for the purpose of promoting and undertaking benevolent assistance for aged and disabled persons. Global Care Group (GCG) Inc is a not for profit, public benevolent organization, governed by an elected Board of Management. It is a non-denominational organization, providing care and services to the community of Western Australia and, as an incorporated body, receiving funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing under the Aged Act 1997.

Our Mission is to provide high quality care which maintains the independence and dignity of elderly and disabled persons.

Our philosophy is

  • That all people (regardless of their age) have a right to high quality care services
  • That older people should be in control of their lives
  • That older people should have access to community resources
  • That older people have a right to live and die with dignity

Our Services: Our residential care complex is called Morrison lodge comprising a total of 73 beds including 43 dementia care places. In 2007 Global Care Group (GCG) Inc was awarded funding for 4 years to undertake the provision of a Demonstration Day Respite service with National Respite for Carers Program funding. This is one of 30 across Australia to participate in a National Evaluation Project of this groundbreaking approach to strengthen the interface between Residential and Community Aged Care.

Our Community Aged Care Packages, Hamersley CACP was established to better address the needs of our community and offer continuity of care to those in our day respite centre (Hamersley House) and aged care facility, Morrison Lodge.

In 2010 Global Care Group (GCG) Inc has extended its services to independent living units, providing accommodation for people over 55 adjacent to Morrison Lodge and our community services.

Balladong Lodge and Country Estate in York is being built to service the rural and remote areas in the Wheatbelt. The Estate will consist of 45 Independent Living units and a 26 bed Aged Care Facility.

GCG takes pride in being a ‘Learning Organisation’ , GCG has a training organisation, Health Ageing Training Services which delivers certificates in aged care and offers aged care training packages. We encourage new and expansive patterns of thinking, work collaboratively in an environment where people are continually learning and ensure that we are aligned with industry best practice. We actively facilitate the learning journey of all staff members to build capacity and offer all staff access to ongoing training and development by making available a range of training programs.

Global Care Group (GCG) Inc is overseen by a voluntary Board of Management and Management Committee committed to the health profession and lifestyle accommodation. The Board is determined to put into practice their vision for links between residential and community aged care in metro and regional WA.
